Mike,
you bring up some good points. The song evolved a lot over the years. I like it more up tempo but not as fast as original versions. This one is one of my favs. Not only from an emotional reading of the tune but I think they still have the pace of the song the way I like it.

Yes, that has been one of my favorites for a long time plus hailing from Connecticut originally I am biased.

If you haven't listened to this one check it out. On 12-31-85 they open with NFA and have an amazing transition into Touch of grey. pace is a bit too fast for me and garcia's vocals are ....well 1985. But that segue is sick.
